What caused the Big Bang and what was there before it?

>inb4 void
There has to be some theories as to what was there before Big Bang right? Are scientists still saying 'we don't know'?

>> No.6553938

what's wrong with 'we don't know'?

Not only do we not know. We will never know. Not in 10 years, not in a billion years. So you better get used to it

is that the biggest mystery in science?

As soon as we know, there will be another "we don't know" right before it...better to stop looking now.

Hail Satan!

No. Great mysteries are things that might eventually have an answer to them. Things that fall outside our ability to ever get a reasonable answer are not mysteries, they are just fantasies

We musn't say that "we will never no", for that concession shall provide a lair in which the Christian "gOD" of the gaps may rest!

you are kidding right? Can't we recreate the conditions right before big bang(as they are doing in LHC) and predict what happened? Surely within 100 years or 1000 years with more knowledge and more sophisticated technology we could certainly know more about what happened before big bang

Oh, the limits and stupidity of human common sense.

Yes and that falls inside our ability to get a reasonable answer. It's because you ate too many tacos you fat fuck

2 is a good snack, 3 for a meal and 4 max if they were really good/traditional/healthier. From what I can see, any more results in diminishing returns and future regret

>he hasn't heard of Mini Taco Theory

when the mass of a taco is decreased by .5 or greater it results in an exponential consumption loop that extends to infinity. They proved it at the Large Taco Collider in Texas.

There's all kinds of seriously meant propositions floating around, a common one is that the big bang is somehow a cyclic event.
Like when the universe reaches maximum entropy and everything everywhere is uniform distance no longer have any meaning.

So then it's like everything is located at the same place and BOOM. Or that a 'big bang' occurs when we collide with another universe in a multiverse.
It's beyond my paygrade to worry about this stuff so I don't even pretend to know how much substance there is to any of these speculations.

Texas can't collide anything. Just look at what happened with the Superconducting Super Collider. We dig the holes in the ground aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand funding gets cut.

We could have had warp drives by now if funding didn't get cut. It was gonna be more powerful than the LHC.
