We have an engineering choice in 2nd year called "Integrated engineering"

my GPA is not good enough for what I want (mechanical) so i have to go into materials engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering or this "integrated engineering"

>Integrated engineering: Integrated Engineering (IGEN) is a multidisciplinary engineering program that places a strong focus on team-based engineering design by means of three full year project courses. In addition to developing a broad foundation in engineering, the student develops primary and secondary knowledge in specific engineering disciplines via 18 credits of technical electives in third and fourth year.

In 2nd year, It shows I have to take courses in materials engineering, fluid mechanics, mech courses, electrical courses etc.

Does anyone have any idea what the "downlow" on these programs are? I don't want to be getting some bullshit engineering degree, but it appears to be just another engineering discipline that forces you to emphasize teamwork

as if /adv/ knows shit about engineering specifics
this is an engineering/physics board

it requires a lower gpa only because the faculty is so big it can accommodate more students

/sci/ is not your school's advisor. We do neither know the curriculum nor the internal policies of your school. We don't even know the name of your school since you didn't tell us. Neither do we care.

I go to UBC in canada

We still don't care. We are still not your school's advisor. If you are too socially impaired to talk to your school's advisor, then you have much bigger problems than a career choice.

I've set up an appointment but they obviously want more students because its a new-ish nontraditional engineering discipline so they will tell me whatever I want.

Here, people familiar with engineering disciplines can cut the bullshit and tell me
