What Einstein didn't tell everyone was that during his years as a patent clerk he found, and later used, many good ideas that were never given their due credit. This is what a 'smart' man does, as there's no use in reinventing the wheel. He may have been, more than anything, an expert researcher, in the right place at the right time.

I didn't know there was a semi-popular conspiracy concept related to this. But I know it in my heart because I am jewish, and I know how we are taught. Makes me sad.

It's well known that Einstein was a charletain who gave the impression of intellectual originality and genius by hiding his sources.

We keep him as a poster boy for schoolkids to look up to. Because it's the idea of Einstein that humanity needs, though the man doesn't deserve it. So we'll praise him. Because he can take it. Because he's not our hero. He's a silent guardian. A watchful protector. A Dark Knight.

What needs to be understood is that Einstein didn't just borrow heavily from other scientists, he was part of a cabal of intellectuals who scour the journals and books for ideas to steal or repackage as their own. Einstein was a corporation and not single entity.
