Why do the exterior angles of a triangle always equal 360 degrees but the interior angles can equal far more?

>> No.6241769

The interior angles equal 180 degrees.

>> No.6241771

just look at the triangle.

OP is either talking about non-euclidean geometries or high as fuck.

x+y+z=180
(180-x)+(180-y)+(180-z)=360+180-x-y-z=360

I have no idea what I'm talking about. I was just learning math on Khan Academy and came upon the triangle geometry part. The outer angles always combine and equal to 360 degrees, but if you create new triangles inside the triangle they can equal much more than 360.

I guess I'm just wondering why they always equal 360. Is the triangle really a circle?

I've just started. I'm learning more everyday.

Can someone answer though? Why does the exterior angles always equal 360? Even if the triangle has many sides.

What are you talking about with exterior angles?

Dude, you are talking about a regular polygon in general.

A triangle has internal angles that sum to 180 degrees. Each exterior angle is equal to 180 degrees minus its corresponding interior angle. There are three angles in total. The sum of the exterior angles equals 180*3-(the sum of the interior angles). Since the interior angles sum to 180 degrees, the exterior angle sum simplifies to 3*180-180=2*180=360.

Do you mean 360 degrees minus the corresponding interior angle?

>> No.6241977

>>6241950
No, an exterior angle is the angle you get by extending a side; it's the supplementary angle of that interior angle. Thus, the two angle together sum to 180 degrees. (For exterior angles, you must extend only one side per vertex. Extending the other side gives you a second one on the other side.)

>Why do the exterior angles of a triangle...

That is only because the exterior angle is defined that way. If you use the complete external angle you would simply subtract the sum of internal angles from n*2pi:

n*2pi-(n-2)pi=n*2pi-n*pi+2pi=n*pi+2pi=(n+2)pi

In case of the triangle the sum of internal angles is pi and the sum of external angles is 5pi.

It says that cannabinoids (such as THC, the active ingredient in weed) reduces the symptoms in a mouse model of multiple sclerosis.

Not a great example of cannabinoids' neuroprotective effects though, as it mostly focuses on the immunosuppresive aspects. This is good for autoimmune diseases but it also makes you more susceptible to infections. Cannabinoids have other neuroprotective effects though (but also a few very important long-term negative effects such as memory impairment and schizophrenia).

I'd love to see some legit sources on this. As far as I can remember, the memory impairment effect only last as long as there are active cannabinoids in your system, and inducing schizophrenia is not possible unless it's a latent, pre-existing condition.

Two recent ones in animals.

Cannabinoids are excellent treatment options for certain diseases because the benefits outweigh the side-effects in those cases. In healthy people, though, there are very few benefits and some definite side-effects. That said, even if the memory effect is not permanent, what does it matter? Most people who are addicted to cannabis will not simply stop smoking it for long enough for the effects to wear off.

>in b4 'lol not addictive'
Just because there are no physical detox symptoms does not mean it is not heavily psychologically addictive. I know a lot of people who can't go a whole day without lighting up a few times.

When approaching near light speed, due to the warping of space-time the interior angles of triangles converge to infinity.
