Sup /sci/, just finished applying for Uni's (Britfag)

Im pretty confident Ill get in (AAAB as As, predicted AAB at A2) but Im wondering if anyone with experience can give me some advice.

My first choise is Chemical Physics (Gets me MPhys), whats the job front like? Will I struggle to get a decent job in the field, or will I have to go elsewhere with my God Tier masters?

TL;DR Can I easily get a job in Chemical Physics or any Lab-Based Physics field with a Masters?

Another 2014 applicant reporting. I'm afraid I can't answer your questions as I'm in your position, just wondering where you applied/first choices etc?

As if /adv/ will know shit about the job front in scientific fields

This isnt a question about college, I already made my choises, this is about careers

The University of Sheffield, for all 5. Its close to home and in the top 5 University tables, cant go wrong.

He thinks linking a mod post actually means something.

>so obey the rules
I am, where does it say discussion of Scientific careers is against the rules?

/sci/ is for the discussion of science topics, not education advice. We discuss the contents of science, not curriculums.

I have to agree that this is not helpful.

Advice is central to people with common interests coming together. This is just another example of overzealous moderation.

straight into a masters from high school? what? do you even get a bachelor degree first? If i were you i'd consider waiting before specialising because you might find something else you like or end up wanting to switch, but i have no idea how things work in the UK

Maybe not, but what choose does he have? Like >>6200635 said, /adv/ is just random people with similar interests, they aren't in a position to answer his question, I doubt any of them have a MPhys.

Besides, it's rather ironic how you pounce on the thread when I've seen at least 3 obvious homework/coursework threads tonight.

OP, although I can't fully answer your question, I can say an MPhys looks great on a CV/resume, it will really set you apart.

You leave school at 16 with GCSE's

The you can choose to go to college to get A Levels, year one is As, year 2 is A2's

Then you go to university to do 3 years for your degree, then if you want, an extra year for masters, then if you want another extra year for PhD.
