So im trying to learn some basics,

Why is it that when...

Voltage = current x resistance.

and

Voltage = resistance x current

and

Current = voltage / resistance

so why doesnt

Current = resistance / voltage

?

it doesnt make any sense

Nice troll but 1/10 as you made me reply but otherwise just very poor attempt.

Learn how to math

>> No.6152532

>>6152515

im not trolling

from a maths perspective its fucking stupid

A = B x C

A = C x B

so it should also be

B = A / C

B = C / A

but it somehow magically isnt

What's 2 / 4?
Now what's 4 / 2?
Are the answers the same?
Exactly.

but if division is the opposite of multiplication

how come 2x4 and 4x2 is the same thing ?

but to divide them is not ?

>>6152545
both are 2

of course 2=2

whats you're point?

I hope you die a painful death and during your suffering realise this is karma for shitposting on /sci/.

Sage.

It's not easy to invent electricity that understands math. We only have AC and DC and neither does. That's why we invented processors to work around that limitation.

OP asked a serious math question. If you don't know the answer, then don't shitpost in his thread.

division is not commutative under reals.

division isn't the "opposite of multiplication". what does that even mean?

For those of you who are not trolls and may be confused by the OP

Because current * voltage doesn't resist

>B = A / C

>B = C / A

But this is incorrect. This is a simple rule of mathematics.
I suggest you research how division works.

>> No.6152584

because division is just another notation of a fraction. 0.5=/=0.25 so 2/4 =/= 4/2
