Does anyone know what would happen to a corpse over a reaaaally long time if it is not exposed to any external microbes (internal ones like helpful bacteria etc still there) and or effects? Think of it like placing a perfectly sterile fresh corpse into a sterile empty glass box.
Would it still rot? How would it differ from a regular corpse?

abiotic decomposition

if you keep the body in a glass case or box isolated from bacteria it wont decompose
google incorruptible bodies

How?

There isn't a lot of good info, any links? Seems like this would take a lot of time though, longer than calcification.

Okay according to google I guess this is the correct answer. Thanks. Will read more.
