Don't worry, I went thought the same thing.

Just learn the information. Its fact memorizing pretty much anyway you look at it. So what you don't know or don't understand about it can be learnt. Also, you shouldn't value yourself by your education. All life has equivalent value and all should be treated the same. I love you OP, as I do everyone on this planet. Hang in there. I hope you use this experience to be more supportive and understanding to others instead of perpetuating and proliferating hatred.

And please don't use that word as an insult.

If so, don't worry.

One word: Study.

Instead of posting on /sci/ get yourself some first year textbooks, and possibly a pre-university introductory mathematics course, and learn it.

For the latter I would recommend the H.E.L.M series; google it, but as far as I recall it's available online in a few places.

Go here:
http://betterexplained.com/archives/

And hit the books, put about 110 hours into pre-calculus and then calculus 1 and then see how you feel about it.

One question, should I watch all 61 videos in order from oldest to newest? Not too familiar with math but it looks like the older videos are beginning and the newest are more intense?

Scratch that should I just start from intro, then numbers, then stats, then geometry etc? in the order they're listed

Don't feel bad OP. I too went to a shitty elementary and high school. When we "briefly" learned about the big bang theory our teacher left out a lot of information. I think this is because she had fairly strong christian beliefs. However, after HS I became interested in learning more and more about physics. It is quite amazing how much she left out looking back. But, I feel like I didn't get a "fulfilling" education, so to speak.
My brother had talked with my sociology teacher in a bar one night. And he said that high school teaching is 50% bullshit. Which it may be more or less for some.

I have the grades to pursue pretty much any degree, but I fear that it will not provide me with a satisfying career. I already know that I don't want to teach.

I enjoy philosophy, but I would rather write books and notes on it. I do not want to be the one grading students. I also enjoy physics, but there is no guarantee that I would get a position to work on my own personal interests.

So perhaps, I will get a degree and possibly doctorate. But, I will do it once I have a little more money.

mfw reading this shit on 4chan, and on /sci/ of all places. I think this post gave me technicolored cancer.
