So I got two friends in an argument. Anyway, I was wondering if there is conclusive proof that we are each an entity, only some of us, or none of us. I ask not based on theory or religion. But, rather on research. So if any neurobiologists (or anyone with knowledge in similar fields) can help explain their thoughts or facts on the issue, I will be greatly thankful.

Sorry, as I probably sound vague, but essentially I am asking if you believe in you have an entity or are merely a "marionette that acts according to some kind of patterns?"

Study gross neurobiology and it is difficult to argue for a soul.

Is this a qualia thread? Anyways, I feel like an entity.

Thanks for the reply. I had a feeling this was inconclusive. I just was wondering if any papers/reports could provide some insight or reasoning as to which solution has a higher probability than the others.
