The descriptions in yellow are pretty bad.
"It gets more abstract from here" is redundant, it goes more abstract at every point.
Computer science doesn't get more rigorous "than math".

Which is more mathematically demanding of the three: astrophysics, computer science or nuclear engineering?

I hear a lot on /sci/ about computer science being the biggie. Is it more math to do, more intricate math to do, or a mix of both when compared to the aforementioned ones?

Little uninteresting fact :
L'Hospital is the ancient way to orthography the name
(Guillaume François Antoine de L'Hôpital).
A lot of words in French have seen their "os" turned into "ô". (forest (like you) turned into forêt for instance)
That's why you should write
"de L'Hospital" (classy) or
"de L'Hôpital"

both pronounced o-pee-tal

"L'Hopital" is stricto sensu a grave offense to the French people.

I'm French and this is not a grave offense to me, I understand that my English is not perfect, and I understand that the French of foreign people might not be perfect. Way to spread false rumors. You may think that most French would be offended as opposed to all, but that would be still wrong, only the grammar nazis would get offended at this.

France society is predicated upon being grammar nazis. You have a centuries old government body solely dedicated to preserving the "purity" of the French language. Your government passes laws regulating how many English songs can be played on the radio, and forbids the usage of English terminology in official documents.

>> No.6094413

>>6094347
I guess you know more on the subject than myself. Anyway what the government wants the people to do and what the people actually do are two different things. More and more english words are being introduced into the dictionaries. And most people here can't actually spell for shit, so much for being grammar nazis. It hurts the eyes to read some stuff (like when you write "their" instead of "they're", or "your" instead of "you're"), but no one except the ultimate grammar nazis would give a shit if you spelled hopital instead of hôpital.

>> No.6094419

>>6093242
> implying that's game theory

>> No.6094416

>>6094413
Forgot to add, the laws passed to regulate how many english songs are played on the radio are not to preserve the "purity" of the french language but rather to force the radio stations to promote french artists. But then I and many others don't listen to the radio so we are not affected by that in any way either.

von Neumann, developer of the 'solution' to a two-person zero sum game, applied the same technique to describe the 'collapse' of a wavefunction -- the two are mathematically equivalent.
