Why aren't social sciences real sciences according to /sci/ ? Should we just listen to this rape promoting pothead?

Probably because they usually can't use the experimental method. For example, we can't create a perfect duplicate of a person and only manipulate small aspects of their environment as they live their life to see what happens, we also can't create a perfect duplicate of a country and manipulate only a particular social system or economic system and see what happens.

Failing experimental trials, social sciences usually have to rely on correlational studies and generally aren't expected to be as rigorous or predictive as hard sciences.
