So I'm in an apartment and I'm kind of an audiophile. I have a set of bi wired speakers and I'm trying to maximum listening pleasure out of them.

Currently this is the shit temporary setup.

I'm looking to make adjustments so what would be ideal? Feel free to move furniture too.

it sounded not very good and you have to be in a very specific spot of the room

I like this except the woman of the apartment thinks the back end sticking out will look weird. I couldn't give a fuck about looks but its up to me to convince them if this is the way to go.

No one is gonna be happy if we have to move that TV but I'm willing to.

This could also happen but it doesn't really work with the doors and shit in the room

The speakers should be parallel and closer together than to the listener. You are trying to use reflections in the room to create stereo everywhere.

This could also very easily happen

Speaker distance apart is D
Distance from speakers to the listener is 1.5D
Tweeters at ear level, speakers not too close to walls or corners.
>>6018142
This is the best option of the 3.

nah, right hand speaker is too close to the TV. anyone sitting on the right hand edge of the couch has partial vision block. irritating as fuck

speakers should fire into the length of the room. move speakers different distances from wall behind them and listen to effect on bass.

but to be honest you can't do too much without acoustic treatment.

I think so too but everyone's bitching about the TV's large back end. Saying it'll look dumb and the likes.

We use the entertainment system to entertain ourselves, not gaze at how the TV looks to the wall.

Trust me I am an acoustics major and a PhD in mathematics, this is scientifically the optimal setup

Maybe get some ferns or other house plants to fill the gaps and draw attention away from distance from the wall.
