the economic problem is scarcity. unlimited wants competing for limited resources, means goods and resources are scarce, and thus, decisions need to be made as to how we allocate our scarce resource. Economics is a social science which studies how society chooses to allocate it's scare resources, that have alternative uses, to produce goods for present and future consumption.

ok, where did you learn this?

Read some Adam Smith to start off, then Hayek, followed by Keynes, maybe some Friedman.

Game theory is a God-Tier sub topic. a good book to read on that is "Thinking Strategically"

As with any field, I would advise against starting with original source.

You don't learn mathematics by starting with Euclid's elements.
Grab any modern textbook with good ratings. Once you're done with it, you'll have a better idea of where to go.

This.

Get two undergraduate textbooks, one for Microeconomics, one for Macroeconomics.

Start with the problem of scarcity (finite goods/infinite wants) and elementary S/D diagrams then move up with the textbook.

You won't understand much of it without an preexisting understanding of economics.

Depends. What country are you from?

Alternately, just look at the required reading & textbook list for an Economics B.A/B.Sci at your local good university.

Economics isn't a science, just as psychology isn't a science. The predictions of economists turn out to be wrong more often than they are right - in contrast to physics.

Game theory is irrelevant to the real world economy.

if not, find another thread to feel euphoric
