Why are /sci/ and /x/ enemies?

>> No.5952567

/sci/ sees the way the world is and asks "why?"

/x/ sees ways the world isn't and asks "what the fuck?"

/sci/'s true enemy is /fit

Think about it: /fit/ is the bastard child of /sci/ and /lit/, hard and soft science. It was raised by /lit/, but it had to take /sci/'s first initial, but then went retarded and put a classical s- an f- in order to emphasize its connection with /lit/. /fit/.

/sci/'s worst enemies are /v/ and /a/

anti-intellectualism is the biggest thread to academically educated people

Sorry, this may sound like a breach in trust, but I am just not really convinced you are a robot.

Because /x/ believes in spooky ghosts and ancient aliens and conspiracies and shit.

He thinks that having hobbies outside of intellectual self-improvement is 'the biggest threat to academically educated people'.

>> No.5956025

>>5954895
These "hobbies" the other anon named have the sole purpose of denying and belittling education, taking a shit on intellectualism, promoting contempt against intelligence, and actively making people dumber. Tell me how this isn't the epitome of anti-intellectualism and a serious threat to academic progress.

>> No.5957249

/sci/ embraces Hitchens razor
/x/ denies Hitchens razor

>> No.5957334

/sci/ and /x/ are enemies because of the fundamental differences in the audiences they attract. /x/ is mostly 13-16 year olds posting skeletons and other memes. the remainder is mostly comprised of people with mental illness.

I wish I had a qt /lit/ gf ;_;

>> No.5957340

have you visited /x/ recently? Last time I checked (2 minutes ago), there was a 100+ thread on 'how to massage you pineal gland'. There was one skeptic, citing MRI studies and what other studies have determined about the nature of neurotransmitters and what not. The remaining posters were in full agreement and wanted to know more about chakra.

So it's either a clusterfuck of stupidity or some masterclass meta-trolling. Either way, I miss the days when /x/ was a sure fire way to find a spooky thread for some cheap thrills.

Oh God. "Massage the gland and supapowas like the Tibetan monks!"
