Is Who wants to be a millionaire just a game of luck?

I mean, there's 33.34% chance of being right unless the person happens to know the right answer, and lifelines can only get you so far into the game.

Let's say there are 15 questions with 4 choices each. Let's also say there are 3 lifelines: call-a-friend, 50-50, and ask-the-audience.

For each of the 15 questions, there is only 1 correct answer, and 3 incorrect answers, so immediately your chances are 1/3 = 33.34%. You can use each lifeline once. Using phone-a-friend, let's say gives you a 95% chance the person you call is correct. So 1 question is 95%. Similarly, we can say ask-the-audience gives you a 95% chance. Finally, 50-50 will remove 2 wrong answers, so you have 1 right answer and 1 wrong answer, so you basically know the answer. To recap:

Question 1: 33.34%
Question 2: 33.34%
Question 3: 33.34%
Question 4: 95% <--- ask-the-audience
Question 5: 33.34%
Question 6: 33.34%
Question 7: 33.34%
Question 8: 33.34%
Question 9: 95% <--- phone-a-friend
Question 10: 33.34%
Question 11: 33.34%
Question 12: 33.34%
Question 13: 33.34%
Question 14: 33.34%
Question 15: 100% <--- 50-50
Total: 690.08%
Divided by 15 questions = 46.00%
So basically, it's more a less a game of chance, but more than half the people on the show will lose, so it's not very fair. That show is making tons of money off of people.

No, it's a game of trivial knowledge.

Why did you add the percentages?

Probabilistic reality is, in fact, the ethereal plane. Probability is the product of consciousness, and the higher a particular reality is on a metaphysical scale (where the scale goes from from the lowest which is physical, to ethereal, astral, and beyond), the more that reality is composed of conscious holographic fragments instead of the solidified ones.
In a perfectly physical world, without consciousness, all would be perfectly mechanical and hence predictable. Newtonian mechanics would allow perfect predictability of any system, and no uncertainty or probability other than zero or one hundred percent would exist. However, since there is consciousness, a certain amount of chaos is always present, and therefore some uncertainty. Probability theory is a result of the presence of these uncertainties. It can be seen that the more consciousness there is in an event, the less Newtonian Mechanics, or any system of science based on the laws of physics, can predict the outcome of that event.

Is getting dubs just a game of luck?

I mean, there's 10% chance of getting dubs unless the person is using a script.

Let's say there are 15 posts with 4 copypastas each. Let's also say there are 3 scripts: call-a-mod, insta-get, and ask-the-shitposters.

For each of the 15 posts, there is only 1 correct dub, and 9 singles, so immediately your chances are 1/10 = 10%. You can use each script once. Using call-a-mod, let's say gives you a 95% chance the mod is a god and gives you dubs. So 1 question is 95%. Similarly, we can say ask-the-shitposters gives you a 95% chance. Finally, insta-get will remove all singles combinations, so you have 100% chance of getting a get. To recap:

Question 1: 10%
Question 2: 10%
Question 3: 10%
Question 4: 95% <--- ask-the-shitposters
Question 5: 10%
Question 6: 10%
Question 7: 10%
Question 8: 10%
Question 9: 95% <--- call-a-mod
Question 10: 10%
Question 11: 10%
Question 12: 10%
Question 13: 10%
Question 14: 10%
Question 15: 100% <--- insta-get
Total: 409.999999999999...%
Divided by 15 questions = 27.99999999999999999999999999999999...% (As .999...=1 we can deduce that we have 28%)
So basically, it's more a less a game of chance, but more than half the posters on the 4chan won't get dubs, so it's not very fair. 4chan is generating a shit ton of shitposters.
