Let's say Humanity found the a technology which allows it to build star ships and travel trough wormholes (or something else). Do we know any planet to colonize so far without a huge effort like terraforming?

We can't see them well enough to tell.

There are a few possible candidates, but with our current telescopes we can't tell for sure.

Kepler 22b

On a side note, you could use that technology to send out "probes" to look for already habitable planets. Imagine how much metal we would chuck out into the universe in the year ftl travel was discovered.

I miss Venus, Earth's twin planet, in this diagram.

lol I was thinking the same thing, even though I know its relative size to earth it still rustled my jimmies a little that it wasn't included.

Venus is a shithole and very hard to terraform. I can't think of any even semi-realistic way.

There you go. But I wouldn't live there if I were you.

Would there be any way to just blow it's all atmosphere into space all at once?

>> No.5924604

The idea would be also putting the similarity number of Venus to Earth, in order to have a fair comparison between the exoplanets and Venus, just like there is with Mars.

Yes, but using such an impactor would require similar amounts of energy to building a Dyson Bubble.

The index is not just about diameter.

our first rocket shoots up into space only to explode mid atmosphere because woodpeckers have invaded the hull

I don't think there's enough info on this.
