The core of the sun is under 20 million K
The 'fireballs' produced in the LHC are at billions and trillions of Kelvins, though talking about temperatures in this case is a bit misleading.

Easily done. Almost any lab studying extreme cold is able to go below the ~2.8 K of deep space.

Depends what you want to know. There are lots of particle physics texts that you could read after a single QM course that go into some of the details about how they work and what they're trying to detect, but it's mostly about the particles.
