which element is the best element in the periodic table?

>> No.5834259

Boron

Nobody doesn't like molten boron.

phlogiston

All I know is that 100% of cases of dihydrogen monoxide contact are fatal, so I'm going to steer clear of them. Arsenic, I suppose.

Hydrogen. It's so fucking obvious. Why are these threads alive.

Oxygen for obvious reasons.

There is not an individual element in the periodic table I could call my favorite. There are several I find interesting.
The first one I could mention is carbon, carbon is amazing because of the number of possible bonds and arrangements are possible. It is the lincoln log of the periodic table. It provides an incredible amount of bond possibilities and is the reason why organic chemistry and biology is so complex.
Another favorite of mine is hydrogen (specifically hydrogen-1), it is the father of all atoms and by itself has many interesting and unusual properties. Under immense pressure it can change to a metallic form and can conduct electricity easily and produce a magnetic field. Hydrogen also has the easiest spectral lines to remember.

Flourine is another favorite of mine particularly because of its reactivity, just like chlorine its never found naturally in its free non-ion form. Its basically the deranged psycho of the periodic table and will attempt to bond and fuck up virtually anything -- including the noble gases -- very violently. Flourine is also part of one of the most terrifying molecules, dioxygen diflouride, one of the boogeyman of chemistry.

Is that better, numbskull?

There. Right fucking there.

Carbon, considering all of the amazing things it can do, from the exoticness of its allotropes, to the multiple bonds it can form, as well as the amazing structures it can create in aliphatic and aromatic series. It is an amazing element that never ceases to amaze me. However everyone is usually sick of us organic fags, so the other element that I like the most is bismuth, mainly for aesthetic reasons. Very beautiful element.
