Two questions, /sci/:

1. Level of mathematical ability?
A. Less than proficient at highschool level
B. Proficient at highschool level
C. Some undergrad level
D. Proficient at undergrad level
E. Some grad level
F. Proficient at grad level
G. More than proficient at grad level

and

2. What do you use/want to use your mathematical ability for? (i.e. physics research, engineering applications, etc. preferably more specific)

Struggled through math in high school (it's the *only* reason I decided not to major in physics in college), but after college I decided to face my fear of math and took Calc I at the local community college on my own dime. Passed with flying colors with an "A".

Trying to study more on my own, but it's hard to do outside of a classroom.

E. Just finished an Msci. in Theoretical Physics.

Currently working as a data analyst. Never would have foreseen myself in this role, but it has the capability to get really interesting (not to mention lucrative) the further I go. In an ideal world, I would do a Ph.D in Quantum Field theory (ties in all the things I fucking love about maths and physics) but I prefer cash money cash money money cash cash.

1. D, studied for 2 years but I've done most undergrad with some grad courses.
2. Science. First I was thinking about theoretical physics, but having studied mathematics, I'm becoming more and more interested in it itself. Anyway, it's probably easier to switch from math->theor. phys than vice versa, so I'm probably going to mathematics grad school after a year or so (or 2, if I'm taking my military service this year. My country has conscription.).

One year isn't enough to say you're proficient - you're still doing babby maths.
Especially in the USA - most of the world do calc and differential equations in highschool.

What even the fuck? You pick your major because of a girl? I have a few questions...

Are you a virgin? (this is relevant)
Are you trying to seduce the girl in question?
Why is changing majors going to help you seduce her?
Do you have any experience/skill in picking up women?
Why is this one girl worth changing majors for?

And again, the big one, why do you think changing majors is going to get you this girl?

As someone who fucks a lot of girls (hard to believe I know, but bear with me), I'm quite experienced in getting girls to want to have sex with me. From my point of view, with that in mind, changing majors is only going to hurt you, you're screaming out "I'm sexually inexperienced, naive, irresponsible and stupid" and thinking she'll jump right on you?

>> No.5833064

1.) A (Yea, I finally got an A in math!)
