Hello there.

A relative of mine wants to kill himself and I´ve written this short manual to assist him in doing so. Your opinions /sci/. How likely it is to work.

Suicide

What you will need:

50 ml of rubbing alcohol
1 razor blade or disposable Scalpel (22 or 22a are the best options)
50 ml of Benzocaine Gel
X+2 Pills of Aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid) where X is your weight divided by 20 (so a 200 pound should intake 10 pills of 500mg)
A large bowl filled with Warm to Hot water (Just a bit more than your body temperature)
3 sheets of gauze
1 Bottle of your spirit of preference

First things first no suicide method is 100% proof and the human body is fucking hard to kill painless but it will most likely succeed.

Procedure:

Take 3 Aspirin pills every 2 minutes with at least 200 ml of water
During that time between the intakes:
Prepare the hot water on the Bowl.
Clean the area with rubbing alcohol
Apply the Benzocaine gel in the Wrist area and let it rest for 5 min

Now that you finished the intake and wait time for the benzocaine
Clean the area again with the School
Now for the cutting
Cut the vein that is located in the area between the wristband thumb bones (you will sense a nerve there cut about 1/8 of an inch to the back of the hand or it will hurt even with the benzocaine)
Now cut the small veins located in the lower part of the wrist in single motion with 2 horizontal cuts separated by one inch.

Rest your wrist on the bowl with hot water and wait after 30-45 seconds you will fill numb rest your liquor aside and wait.

This method has all the cleanings and care because in the event they find you and treat you, at least the infection risk is lower and you won’t feel pain in the hospital. The liquor is there even for those that are not used to drink because it helps together with the aspirin to thin the blood.

You can always use more mainstream poisons, such as arsenic (couple of drops) and cyanide (1.5 mg per kilogram of body weight.) Another one is conium/hemlock, for which the ingestion of 100mg of conium (or ~8 leaves of the plant) is fatal.

This is fucked up guys. OP let me at least try to reason with you. Your friend is in a rut in life. Obviously I cant guarantee the situation will get better for your friend, but there is a good chance it will. Make him realize this. Make him realize he has a choice. Suicide is a permanent solution to temporal suffering. As a mathematician, suicide isn't very logical if one has any worth in happiness. Although the probability may be small (although in this case I would assume otherwise) that he may become happy again, it is better to roll the dice then leave the table empty handed. Do not make this guide, it will only provoke someone who may just be saying things and will only actualize it once pushed by a kid who hands him a fucking guide on how to kill himself. By the way, this shit is illegal in the United States.

i never understood why people go for the wrists. really sensitive, tons of ligaments and nerves and the veins aren't the best of choice for suicide.
go for the femoral artery. less pain, way quicker, less odds that it will fail and clot, too.

I am so sorry that you have this mental disorder, so I can't condemn you. But at the same time I can't condone this guide. Listen for a second, you obviously are not close to the guy (your words not mine), so I am really doubting if you are even certain about how severe his suicidal thoughts are. Humans are fallible and yes I agree choice is great, but retaining of freedoms is necessary for order and peace. Control is the heart of a functioning society. Although it sickens me to say it, we must consent to give away certain freedoms to live happily. One of those freedoms is the right to take life. This includes ones own. Preservation of human life is more valuable to me the thousand years of torture. This wasteful sacrifice of life is not necessary and I implore you to help heal not kill. And no these two conditions can not both be satisfied

Depression sucks man, just do your best to judge how bad it is for him and actually attempt to make a change no matter how much "meh, why bother" you feel. if he's sharing with 3 or 4 people maybe he still in that too pussy to do it phase and wants to get other people to do his chickening out for him. Sometimes I wonder if I was far out enough to consider killing myself life wouldn't be that scary anymore, and if you're able to die inside you might develop the ability to enjoy life because you do not cling to life anymore. On the other hand I suppose if I'm not ready to kill myself life can't be that bad, and there is still something you hold on to? But what is it?

I know how depression feels, but I also no how good feels to be completly in the now because there seems to be nothing else anymore. Some guys say it isn't about standing up again, but to fall completly and continue living somehow. Letting go and all that.
