What is /sci/'s thoughts about Jacob Barnett? Is he a attention whore or a genius? Has he ever contributed with any scientific theories or only plays scientist?

He's Rainman, isn't he?

Not yet. The hope is that he might do.
He shows a lot of potential.

It's definitely quantum permutations. Definitely.

Attention whore who has an above average intelligence.

Well, he disproved the big bang theory a la the amount of helium in the early universe. Which is pretty good for a then 12 year old kid.

Considering his autism, it's likely that he'll add on to and help prove/disprove a lot of existing theories via the usage of mathematics, on the other hand, pretty uncertain as to his creative capabilities.

Personally I've been considering a new system of mathematics which eradicates the use of zero and negatives, adding different directions and orientations in place of (considering the geometric effect of atomic structures and the differing adherent interactions) Thinking that something cannot come come from nothing, imo, the zero isn't in alignment with how our universe operates )because even if I have zero cups in location A, I still x amount of air, x amount of nonpotentiated space, etc.)

Pretty sure the kid could work wonders with a new mathematical system.

Which essentially is quantum mathematics, lolderp Though having it made more common'd help out the chemists and biological engineers, methinks.

Uhh, he hasn't disproved anything or contributed anything to science. If anything he's made science worse off by fostering the false belief that it takes some sort of child prodigy to contribute to science or have a meaningful career as a physicist.

The big bang has been disproved?

No he did not. He made a youtube video about carbon which was nonsense.

Yes, though not accepted as of yet.

Unable to find the one in which he goes into the helium calculations, but hey, if I can google, so can you!

Seems like you can't into google, either.

That's more about how he establishes his lack of understanding about physics in general and astrophysics in particular.
