Before requesting help from /sci/, please include some way to let us know you have done the following before posting:

1) Read the textbook.
2) Looked at the sample problems in the textbook.
3) Checked the examples in your notes.
4) Tried finding the solution by using Google. (Typically, general (core science class here) #1 or #2 solutions can be found on yahoo answers).

If and only if you have demonstrated that you have done ALL OF THESE THINGS will /sci/ be inclined to help you with your homework. (Sometimes very generous people will help anyway, but this is rarely the case. Most often you get responses like, "use conservation of momentum dipshit")
Additionally, you are more likely to receive help if you can specify where your understanding breaks down.
