If the sun is 93 million miles away and the speed of light is 860,000 mph, how come when I look up I immeditaly see the sun and it doesnt take like 2 minutes?

>> No.5688506

you are seeing the sun from the past

has anyone done a mathematical model of group dynamics on the internet. I'd like to see if some sort of quantitative phenomenological description of trolling could be generated

Light has no travel time. It leaves, and immediately it arrives. Like onetwo. It's both.
You need to stop thinking of The Sun as an object. If we are going to think of it as an object, then there are more 'The Sun' then you could ever count.
That's why you can observe 'The Sun' from every angle, however many angles you choose to count, there's more than infinity of them, THE photon.

You need to start thinking of the speed of light.

>> No.5688608

I did. I found out how to get rid of speed altogether, then I decided it was a good idea to go onto the interwebs and tell the next generation's physicists about it instead of trying to convince a bunch of tenured potatoes that a = a.

you are now realizing that for the first 2 minutes of the sun's existence you could not actually see it from earth's distance

It's at least 7 minutes you bumbling morons. Closer to 8.
That's after the thousands of years it spent bubbling up through the layers of plasma inside the Sun.

Read after Genesis 1:14. Light & day != the sun. The sun was made on the 4th day.
>God made two great lights—the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars.

God sure does sound stupid. Light first, then light sources. Was he drunk?

Hey, don't blame god because stone age men were ignorant and didn't know how to come up with a decent creation myth.
