No shit. Leap years are to make sure the calendar year syncs up with the sidereal year (since it's the sidereal year that actually matters wrt seasons).

Without leap years our seasons would all happen roughly 6 hours earlier every year, which means after 100 years summer would be 25 days early according to the gregorian calendar and holy fuck humanity couldn't possibly compensate for that and we'd all die.

You're all forgetting it's not 20 years exactly. It's 20 years PLUS all the time it takes to win his races and get his memorial field.

Any approximation of 20 years will likely suffice for the casual pleb though without the inclusion of any leap years the figure is not suitable as a minimum answer.
