So I'm in second year chem eng and I don't get the whole dx/dt thingamajig. I just take the shortcut when differentiating.

Is this going to fuck me up in later years?

Also, who wants to quickly explain it to me?

Oh and I never memorized the unit circle. Is there an easier way to remembering it or do you just rote learn it?

the shortcut...?

how did you get into university? this is grade 10 stuff

Maybe I just don't understand it.

What exactly is it saying? You differentiate x with respect to t? I don't get what that means.

I excelled at chemistry.

yes... it's the rate of change. How are you in university. How did you make second year. You should have been forced to do calc by now.

if x is position and t is time, it is just simply saying how x varies with respect to time. x changes as time varies...

Well, that's easy.

Thanks.

You investigate the rate of change of the dependent variable x with respect to the independent variable t.

The shortcut? Pretty sure it'd be a good idea to learn basic calculus...
