Fellow /sci/entists, have you experimented with either Tulpa or hypnosis?

I want to hear your thoughts on this so type them now...

Now after that is done read the next part.

I've went and hypnotized my self into a pesdo-pony state were I can see pony legs (as in the MLP show) and see everything and still know it's not my normal state and that I can "Revert to normal" at any time.

As for Tulpas, I've worked out the body for mine, still working on the talking and other parts.

Stop being a retard.

Read "The Trickster and the Paranormal" by G.P. Hansen. It's a good book, and it explains why paranormal phenomena aren't studied so much.

Here it comes.
You're a fucking retard for thinking hurr durr tulpas exist. Now go back to /mlp/ and play with your imaginary friends you first class idiot.

The human brain does not work that way. You will never have control over your visual cortex in a way that would allow you to arbitrarly choose what you see and what you don't see.

Your story is made up, stupid and attention-whoring.

As others have pointed out in previous posts, this does not belong on a science board.

If you're a troll though, 3/10 for making me respond and feel irritated.

Unfortunatly he's not trolling.

It's an actual thing a bunch of retards try to do. I'm pretty sure it's induced schizophrenia. Or at least, only people that are predisposed to schizophrenia succeed in doing it. Either way pic related.

>> No.5662555

wait wait wait

isn't this the shit /vp/ and /mlp/ has convinced themselves they can actually do so they can have imaginary 'real' ponies/pokeymans?

autism to the highest level

Not even schizophrenics can CHOOSE what they see in their hallucinations. Even if you fuck up your brain (and you would have to actually take some psychotropic substances to do that, not just "wish for it hard enough"), there is no way of controlling the onset, offset, duration and content of the hallucinations.

But I agree with you. It definitely points towards induced schizophrenia and is amazingly retarded.

I now need a feelbird myself.

Thoughtforms have a storied history. Unless all these people were making it up, there must be SOME way, perhaps not to control the visual cortex, but to overlay imagery in some other part of processing.

If lucid dreaming is possible, I see no reason why you couldn't induce a waking lucid dream.

(a) i agree that OP is full of shit
(b) your argument is bad and you don't understand how hypnosis is (supposed) to work
(c) i agree what OP claims to have done is for the most part impossible (for very different reasons)

I didn't say anything about hypnosis. That's because I don't see how hypnosis would have any relevance regarding hallucinations.

>>5662658

There is also a "storied history" on people claiming to be able to levitate, read other people's minds, having visions of the future, etc.

>> No.5663456

I read about tulpas years ago and it's different from whatever some people now think it is.
It used to be meditating so hard that you can make a real object/living thing out of nothing that can even interact with other people and now it seems like people think it's self induced hallucinations/hypnosis/psychosis whatever.
I don't believe any of it though, they just interest me.It does piss me off that people take some random old words/concepts and make up their own meaning for it though.
