Can you give me the equation and answer for the average? Is that even possible? I'm trying to impress someone at school but I am awful at math due to being from Sudan, where math teachers are a luxury.

1/8*(0+1+2+4+5+6+7+8)*23

assuming that the probability of a student having i pockets = probability of having j pockets
