Hello everyone, may I be granted a short amount of your time to help me out, /sci/?
For school, I need to name 3 pupil experiments I want to do in class. Problem is, I have rather minimal knowledge of chemics (dunno why they even put me in this class) so I thought maybe YOU know some basic, simple and non-dangerous but awesome experiments.
Thanks in advance.

y'know, like this super-fast growing foam or something oscillating..thatd be enough awesomeness already

Do something with fire. Maybe burn different substances / have the fire be different temperatures and notice the change in colors?

React fluorine gas with dimethyl mercury. Kids always love that one. So many cool colours and shapes.

Springs oscillate. Bring that to class.

there's a reaction which oscillates between two chemicals, each appearing a different color in solution. It changes between two colors for a while before eventually turning a nasty brown.

Make hydrogen, collect it in a plastic bottle, ignite it and see how the bottle flies around the classroom.

Yup, it involves KMnO4, NaOH, and sugar in solution.

Search for the nurdrage youtube channel, look for simple experiments. A classic is the copper in silver nitrate experiment. Could be a pain though, silver nitrate stains skin like hell if you touch it.

Another classic is a gummy bear dropped into a heated potassium chlorate solution which bursts into flames.
