I'm working on a program that manipulates algebraic equations. The goal for now is to be able to simplify expressions, and to to derive simple one-variable functions.

I checked the wikipedia, and it seems quite informative, but I was wondering if you have some possibly better ressources about computerized algebra.

Thanks.

Oh boy, I finally have a real reason to recommend this. It's available for free on MITpress.

I have no help, but that sounds like fun. Good luck.

Look for "term rewriting and all that|.That could be too broad, but maybe you'll find it useful.

Mh...

I didn't know the SICP had stuff about algebra? Still, it's more than time that I go through it anyways.
