Is it worth pursuing a physics BS with no plans of going to grad school or having a career in physics? Should I cut the crap and do a CS degree instead so I can the job I'd expect to get anyways? Studying physics would make me feel better because "master race" but I don't want to regret it if I can't get a job after graduating.
Just need some opinions.

Physics is a good major. I would hire someone with a strong math or physics background if they at least knew core CS.

The school I'm at right now doesn't allow double majors. Retarded, I know. I'm considering changing schools but it'll be a hassle.
Besides I don't know if I could handle a double major; I'm having enough trouble with my current reduced workload.

I guess I could learn some programming on the side, but I'm worried I won't be as good as if I went the CS route instead.
Part of me tells me doing physics isn't the rational thing to do, like I know it's just the 'idea' of studying physics that attracts me to it....but the other part really wants to study it.
