OP here, has anyone seen anything like this ordering books or anything else through amazon student or prime 2-day shipping? It the estimated date wrong?

>> No.5442979

>believing Amazon's estimated ship dates
>trusting Amazon to deliver anything on time

Until the package is in Fedex's or UPS's hands and you get a delivery time estimate from them, interpret all delivery estimates from Amazon as "whenever we get around to it".

Whining to their customer support might get you a shipping upgrade and save you a day, but that's about all you can do.

>> No.5442980

Did you make sure it's in stock?

>> No.5442983

At first I thought it might be out of stock too, but nope. The shipping without prime said 9-14 days, so maybe the estimated shipping date is based on that and not the 2-day shipping through prime?

>Not Yet Shipped

It won't arrive in 2 days if it hasn't shipped yet. Looks like they're waiting on it to be in stock or they're processing it. You paid for 2-day shipping, that doesn't mean it arrives at your door in two days. There's a processing time involved. And even if the shipping company gets it, it may sit at their hub for at least a day. I used to work for UPS.

I ordered it 2 seconds before I screen-capped that. I don't think there should be a 15 day difference in any case.

In my experience Amazon has been pretty good about shipping on time. Sometimes they are even early

Yeah, this is what you missed.

Well, no, I didn't miss it. I assumed that was just standard shipping.

>> No.5443041

I've never had a problem buying directly from Amazon. I order books all the time and they always arrive in 2-3 days.

Must suck, OP. Where do you live, Alaska?

>> No.5443067

>>5443034
Shipping is not the same as arriving. The sizable delay implies that they don't have it in stock.

As a wholesaler who sells to Amazon, let me explain something to you; 2 day shipping means 2 day shipping from the amazon warehouse to final destination (you). Those 13 days are probably your product going from the manufacturer / wholesalers facilities to yours. Amazon doesn't stock everything
