Move everything to one side

This is your new slope
We know the y intercept is 2 so
y=-4x+2

I understand that, what I just want to know is if there is an equation I can use to find out whether or not the two slopes intersect with each other, because as of now I am drawing out a graph each time and having to draw it all out when I know there is an equation I can use that would make this all easier
