I had a dream where an explosion happened. Right as the boom went off, I woke up with straight opened eyes and heard the sound of a thunderstorm. How could my brain make a perfect timing with the boom and the sound of the thunder?

your brain works much faster while you are asleep, allowing mere seconds to feel like minutes, giving your brain enough time to make up a story before waking up. didn't you watch inception?

that or the timing isn't actually as perfect as you think and it was simply your brain's reaction to a loud noise before you completely wake up. like being woken up by your alarm in the morning but hearing it in your dreams before you do.
