Okay /sci/ the time has finally come.

Which would you recommend?

Computer Engineering or Computer Science? and Why?

Very easy. Do you like hardware or just software.

In the UC/CSU system we are not allowed to double major in engineering, but at USC/Stanford it would be OK.

Berkeley EECS is not a double major though.

>> No.5429384

This, except I'm doing physics instead of math.

I'm thinking about changing to computational physics (1 major) instead of double majoring. It's a lot easier but I don't know if it'd be equivalent to double majoring in cs and physics.

What the hell are you talking about? You still have to pic between hardware and software.

Neither I would choose Physics. I like to sit back to and enjoyed the people who major in it fight.

Why would you need two degrees when you have one that says "Electrical Engineering and Computer Science"?

>> No.5429440

Engineering = more money, less job hunting, and benefits of having a professional degree (like, you can be a notary public and shit). Computer science = essentially the same courses, but prospective employers will look at you with disdain.

Only at top 5 schools. Other places, CS is the same as the shitty coke monkey training at Devry.
