I want to know if this is viable power solution going into the future and what we might see from the existing technology in the next 10-20 years. It seems intriguing but all the videos on it are with this devil of a Suit that makes me want to think its just another start up or scam. That being said, wouldn't we all like to be in with this Flibe industries if they do make breakthroughs and find a sustainable, clean, safe, abundant way to process thorium into nuclear power.

Why would I do that? I have no real backround on this kind of thing so if it is easily dispelled, then by all means tell me why. I know it requires special linings and high corrosion resistant plumbing.

After the internet outcry the experts are now coming out and saying that it's not a readily available solution as its advocates make it out to be.

Honestly, in the near future I would bet on conventional fission reactors, natural gas and distributed alternative energy sources.

china is building them. well, a prototype reactor. the downside is that even if it does terribly all we'll hear from china is how great it is. Considering they (essentially) stole oakridge national lab's original research into the MSR, i doubt china is going to get very far.

Sure it's viable, viable to start up my fusion reactor.
