Paint huffing does wonders to a human brain, we should experiment.

Related question, how do you convince someone that aliens are not here observing us?
His only reasons for believing this is that the pyramids could not be build by humans and that there was a big jump in human brain size during our evolution so he thinks there were aliens doing alieny stuff.
Tried reason and logic, proof from the fossil record that there was no big jump in brain size, etc, nothing works.
Is it possible to convince him otherwise or is he lost forever to the bullshit?

it is not obvious why some people are unsatisfied with "I don't know why x happened" as an answer. Perhaps you could ask him something like, "Do you know how to change the brakes on your car?" or "Do you know how to refine oil?" or any number of things done in modern society that 99.9% of people don't know how to do. Then you could point out that his lack of knowing doesn't imply aliens at work, so why should his bafflement at the pyramids?

but it won't work

I don't know if there was a big jump in human brain size but just tell him that a big jump doesn't mean aliens.
If you look at the life expectancy of china, It has almost double in 50 years.
Still, he probably doesn't think that aliens are responsible.
Or he could just start to believe it and then you're screwed.
