since the world is discrete does it mean we live in a voxel world?

The energy levels for electrons are discrete, but as you go to infinity from an atom or molecule, there are more energy levels. If you get close to an atom, you can only be certain distances away -- but you can be anywhere around the atom (all around it, more than likely).

So, the world itself isn't discrete per-se, but parts of it are, particularly your energy levels.
