It's pretty easy to get rid of cancer. Just kill everyone who has cancer.

Your solution will not be effective.

Cancer is largely caused by predictable factors (such as pollution, exposition to hazardous materials,genetic predisposition) and non predictable one.
Killing all people with cancer will effectively eliminate cancer for a short period, but will have no consequencies on the long term.

That's too inhumane, they'd never do it. Why don't they just take everyone who has cancer and put them on one island? That's what they did for leprosy and you don't see people getting that anymore. Leprosy has almost been completely eradicated just like Polio.
