The top 20 minds of /sci/ are transported to a 40 sq kilometer island that is in the middle of the Pacific Ocean along with any 5 people they choose and are willing to go (family, friends, more /sci/ posters). Island has a mild climate with most natural resources available. How long until they rebuild civilization?

It's 5 people each (though knowing /sci/, it'll still just be 20 people on the island) . And not enough to repopulate earth, just to rebuild society. Like could they survive and remake most of the tech we have now to some degree. How about this, if they can build ships, they can open up trade/whatever with whatever country they can reach.
