To be quite honest, while it's true he probably couldn't find a relevant job to the degree. He might have just done horribly, or, he realized his enjoyment in life was just to relax and read... I feel it's probably a combination of the two. It seems somewhat enjoyable.

while not all liberal art students end up scarecrows, the ultimum vast majority end up in shit tier jobs that have nothing to do with what they studies, most of which are at, or close, to minimum wage

there is no practical use for liberal arts majors outside of media (technicians etc, but they still have to do training to work with NUMBERS)
if you get less than an A in a liberal arts degree, you will be almost unemployable. The only qualification you gain from liberal arts is proof that you can ''apply'' yourself to something.
