Hi /sci/, please help me with Biology. So in class we looked at a Vein and Artery under the microscope.

We had to sketch them. Do they look alright? What else do I have to draw in them, like lumen? I need to also label them.
Now, the main task is to work out the magnification. The one we used on the microscope was "10". Then we measured the vein on the glass thing and looked at it under the microscope. It was 0.02cm for Vein and 0.05cm for artery. We also measured their size of the drawing. So what do now??

Thanks in advance.

OP, unless it's a blue whale vein, I doubt it's 7 centimeters in diameter.

What are you asking for? According to your post, you've already determined the sizes of each and produced your best drawing of them.

Well, the teacher told us to calculate the magnification... I don't know how to do it.

And then for the labeling part, what else do I draw?

Maybe that's because I am a girl?

Ok then. When you say
>measured the vein on the glass thing
what are you talking about? you measured the width of the opening? length? what is the "glass thing"? A scale I assume?

you are a pretty girl trapped in a fat neckbeard's body?

We were given this glass slide thing for the microscope, on which the vein and artery were. You know? So we put a ruler over the both of them to measure them. And we looked at the reading through the microscope.

>> No.5195570

The objective and the eyepiece both have magnifying elements. Hopefully you wrote those down.

Multiply them to get the total magnification.

If you know how far across something was measured to be, and you know how far across you've depicted it on the page, then you already know the apparent magnification of the drawing.
