Calm down. It was cool, but that's all.

I watched this live from launch to landing. Most amazing thing I've seen in my entire life. Felix Baumgartner has my admiration, what he did today blew my mind. I can't wait to see the footage from his suit cameras and to find out if he broke the sound barrier.
Too bad he didn't beat Kittinger's freefall record.

Is there really a sound barrier where he was at his fastest?
He did indeed pass 770 mph.

That was sick. When the door opened...then the jump...then the tumble...then the stabilization...that was crazy. I'm glad I watched it live. Not knowing the outcome, it was one of the most exciting things I have ever seen. Although a smaller achievement, I think I got a taste of what people watching the first moon landing must have felt.

NO YOU CANT BE EXCITED, THAT MEANS YOU'RE EDGY AND UNDERAGE! BE INDIFFERENT AND DONT ENJOY ANYTHING!

Are you serious? This was definitely cool but had little to do with talent or even space. This has nothing on the first Lunar landing.

Engineering, fuck yeah.

Which is why I said it was a smaller achievement. I should have said much smaller.

My point was that I've never experienced, live, the unfolding of an event of such engineering complexity with such an uncertain outcome. I was riveted, I had no idea if he would make it, and I wanted to see him survive. Not to mention the visuals were stunning. The view of him falling from the capsule was crazy.
