Question, /sci/entists:

How do I make Hydrogen sulfide gas?

>> No.5140303

>>5140287
depends on the equipment you got.
actually, what the fuck do you need this for?

>> No.5140308

>>5140287
mix one part hydrogen one part sulfur, burn in absence of oxygen

>> No.5140309

boil liquid hydrogen sulfide

>> No.5140318

Are you another Autralian trying to make some crazy fireworks again?

>> No.5140345

I read that it can be made from household chemicals. I don't have any equipment, I'm curious how you'd accomplish this with just toilet bowl cleaner and lime sulfur, seems dubious to me, but I'm only in my first year studying chemistry.

Isn't liquid hydrogen sulfide extremely flammable?

>>5140318
Nope.

>> No.5140350

>>5140345
only if you do it in an oxygen atmosphere

>> No.5140361

Ok, makes sense. Not sure how I'd be able to accomplish that.
The other poisonous gas made from homemade chemicals that I read about was chlorine tabs and ammonia?

WTF? Bucket brigade.

GTFO

>> No.5140375

WTF OP, if you just want to kill you, or other people, there are better chemicals and easier things to produce.

>> No.5140384

Double-posting to explain that I'm researching different methods of suicide and some, like this, are ones that I can attempt to reproduce myself to see how easy or difficult they are (with safety equipment, I have no desire to die while doing this), and others I'm simply looking up statistics of success rates, etc.
I'm thinking about, although at this point it's mostly just curiosity, writing a book similar to the Japanese Complete Manual of Suicide. The fact is, it's a topic that's almost never investigated or given much treatment outside of a sociological or psychological perspective of prevention, and I'm interested in treating it impartially.

>there are better chemicals
Like what?

I've also looked up numerous pills and other chemicals, but contrary to popular opinion, overdoses are generally painful and involve waking up to your own asphyxiation. Ingestion of hazardous chemicals is also extremely painful and does not guarantee death unless swallowed in large doses, usually with an antiemetic.
Talked to an EMT about that, specifically narcotics overdoses because that's what she had experience with, a very interesting interview.

Are you guys really this squeamish about the subject? I thought I was on 4chan...
