Has the law of attraction been proven true?

Law of attraction?

I think you are confused, we don't do social science here because that's actually not science despite the name.

Neither is Psychology or Metaphysics but people still talk about those on this board.

If you want something bad enough you're going to take the necessary step to get it. That's pretty much what the law of attraction is about. There's much room to fill pages with on this subject, but the whole "attraction" bit is about taking the necessary steps to accomplish a certain goal, which you are doing because you want to bad enough. So yes, it's true.

Then pray tell.

You'll have to excuse me if I don't want to waste my time playing a guessing game about which "law of attraction" he's talking about when it could literally be dozens of them.
My guess would be he's asking about Newton's third law in a really silly way.

There is nothing in physics known as "the law of attraction"

So because it's not physics it's a social science? I am not very well versed in the social science either, but it's sounds like a philosophy to me.

The "Law of Attraction" so enthusiastically espoused by such pseudo-science films and books like The Secret is in no way factual or scientific.
It's just something they branded and marketed to get people to buy their shitty movie/book. It's absolutely NOT a scientific or otherwise law by which anything works. It's made up. Only unscientific fools will believe it. Is that clear?

That said, something can definitely be said for the power of positive thinking. I think everybody should think positively and actively pursue their goals, or whatever it is that they want. You just shouldn't need to spend money to realize that.
lol like it's a "secret" anyway. This is not some lost knowledge, it's some new age BS

I'm glad we understand each other
