Hey collegefags, lets just say I went to a top college for a physics degree. My very first year, would I take things like college algebra, english/literature/, unrelated science? Or would I get down to the Classic mechanics and Calculus?

better specialize early

ok lemme rephrase that, I'm just a junior in high school, but I was just wondering, would I HAVE to take the "fundamentals" or whatever or would I go to the latter of the classes listed?

Depends what classes you take in HS right now. Being in Texas, I got college credit for passing AP tests such as English, History, etc. If you do good on those tests, you can be exempt from taking gen. ed. classes and can go straight to classes designed for your major.

Alright, that would most likely delay me getting a BA in four years though right?

Not sure on the steps you need to take, but good luck with your endeavors OP - very admirable :)

Depends. I only have 1 more gen. ed. class to complete, but I probably won't finish my engineering degree in 4 years. Be sure to take at least 1 class during breaks so you'll be more likely to graduate in 4 years.
