Don't like it, i prefer to think it is due to a twin universe as such dark matter does not exist, it is more elegant and fix some others problems as well (at quantum level, explanation of variations in measurement of speed of light etc)

Dude, it is as mystical as string theory, dark matter, dark energy, multiples universes (backed up by Hawking, not good example of Occam's razor principle) as well as many others things, the only difference is it is relatively simple compared to theses but peoples in the scientific community are too much busy getting lots of money for playing with complex maths to see anything else, almost religious,
