Can you guys give some real life applications to calculus, like motivating math stuff.

I got AP Calc with the same cunt I had Pre-Cal with, no real life examples and i basically forgot everything.

Use KhanAcademy and relearn it.

This is not an 18+ board, I have every right to be here.

Im not asking to relearn, in pre calc i remeber just doing alot of line graphs and such.

Can someone just explain how i could use that to plot a microwave or something?

Or is Calculus a bunch of hypothetical math bullshit that doesn't fit into anything in the physical world?

You are scum of the earth. Please kill yourself promptly.

Not only are you incredibly ignorant, pretentious, incompetent, and underage rule violator, you are also incapable of using a search engine to solve your babby homework problems.

What exactly do you mean by plotting a microwave?

If you want to find out how microwaves will be emitted/absorbed/reflected/etc. in some scenario, then yes of course you're going to need to know your goddamn calculus. For pretty much anything in physics you need calculus. Almost everything is based on differential equations.

You think people actually care about the general rules? Its simple, go on the front page and click on /s/, it says it contains adult material and you must be 18.

I click on this page and no box pops up.

Now are you going to give me some examples or are you going to keep being a cunt?

This is not a homework thread either. I want something to get me motivated, seems like all this math bullshit is a waste of time.

At least im taking Physics.

Calculus is anything but hypothetical.

The reason for it's very creation was because Newton needed a way to mathematically describe what is now known as classical physics.

Motivate yourself. If you need random people on the internet to help you understand why mathematics is important you may want to reconsider your career options.

OP, pay attention. If you like physics, calculus is amazing.
If you take the derivative of a position versus time function, you end up with a velocity function. If you take the derivative of a velocity versus time function, you end up with an acceleration versus time function. And, alas, all of those can be undone with the integral. Integrate an acceleration versus time function and it will give you the velocity versus time function, and integrate the velocity versus time function and you end up with position versus time.

Listen to this guy OP >>5020215 he's right. There are many parts of mathematics that are still to get an application in physics, but calculus is definitely not one of them. Everything you will do in physics will end up using calculus. Once my physics teacher told me something along the line of "the only different between the physicist and the mathematician who does calculus is that the physicist considers energy".
Short answer: if you don't want to do calculus, surrender any hopes of doing hard science except for biology.
