nobody makes Fs in community college unless they do absolutely no work.

i'd say you are not ready for school. withdraw and work for two or three years, then try again.

but if you accumulate too many Fs they might not let you back in.

It's OK, OP. Schools sucks. I couldn't stand it starting in first grade. What a bitch for a teacher. What a lot of assholes for classmates. I ended up finishing high school (2.65 GPA, 1160 SAT), did a couple semesters here and there at CCs and Universities, got the basic shit out of the way, but I cannot stand being around all those people so I never finished, but I always aced science classes for the most part. I fucked around at various jobs until I decided to learn a trade, so I went to a local electronics/computer school and aced everything, one of about 5 people out of 120 at graduation who got a 4.0 GPA. Now I'm the boss and only employee in my market, basically babysitting a broadcast station, corporate doesn't give a shit except they pay me. Nobody bothers me.

Find something you like to do, get a tech school education and get a job.

First 2 F's:
Took 2 summer classes, forgot I signed up, didn't show up a single day, didn't drop them, teachers didn't drop me, got F's

3rd F:
2 different Teachers moved their final exam date, I got confused and ended up missing one of them. Teacher was a bitch and didn't let me make it up and the final exam was worth a billion %

4th F:
Just stopped giving a fuck

I've majorly fucked up my life too. I'm glad to see this thread, for I came here to ask for advice. Don't give up brother! If you're in the U.S., you're in luck! People here are so wasteful, you can survive for free without any government aid.

i go to a JC too, but i literally just dont try. i feel like im wasting away there. its not hard, its actually disturbingly easy, and thats why i do bad. this past semester i didnt so SHIT. i had no books (money issues) and i couldnt study my chem classes. I knew for sure i was failing..... and ended with a C. classes where i think i deserve a C i get an A. i still have over a 3.0, but it makes me sad to see hat i could have if i just applied myself

Dropping my story here.

>Went away to college. Freshman year, fucked up hard two semesters in a row.
>Came home, started at CC.
>GPA 1.9ish with about 35 hours attempted
>Bust my ass for a year, plus two summer semesters
>GPA 2.8ish (can't recall exact numbers)
>will be transferring to a nearby university Spring semester
>retaking classes I failed to replace the grade, won't remove from cumulative GPA but will greatly help
>mfw I thought I had fucked myself beyond repair

>> No.4991094

I fucked and failed up a year at community college when I was 17. Not doing any work does not result in a passing grade. Re-sat the year and passed, it sucks sitting through the same shit twice.

Went back at 22 doing a part time course over two years doing the next level. Partially aced it and start a 4 year masters degree at university in September. I'll be in university until I'm at least 28, ha.

>> No.4991121

At least you're in college and don't have to work to support your family. No, I didn't knock up some fat chick. I'm not even in a relationship.

Just do your homework OP it's not that fucking hard. 2.2 isn't THAT bad. Take some economics or finance classes and learn how to make money on your own.

>that feel when this is my life for the next 4 years and this is the first year curriculum

some of it actually seems quite enjoyable I suppose, even the maths and physics shit. I know it's probably easy to you guys but i'm going to University at the age of 22 having left high school at 17. I'm starting completely fresh. It's going to be funny seeing if I can keep up, especially considering i'm planning on keeping my 40 hour night shift manual labour job.
OP, if you're young you have so many opportunities. Just think of it as a harsh lesson to work harder. I guarantee you'll do better from now on. Just never be complacent

This. Just keep pressing on. Don't succumb to failure even if it feels you're at your breaking point. You have all the time in the world. It doesn't matter if you succeed in 4 years or 20 as long as you succeed. I've met people in their 60's that worked factory jobs their entire life and decided that enough was enough, went through school, and are now living happily with a comfortable wage.

Answer these question for yourself, OP:
> What interests you?
> What do you like to do?
Take classes and read books on the subject, whatever it is. Figure out how to apply your interest to the economy. Everyone has something they love to do. It doesn't matter whether or not you can get rich doing it. What matters is that your occupation makes you happier than just sitting around and you make a contribution to society somehow and get paid. If you don't know what you want to be when you grow up right now, don't sweat it. You might find that out by accident. Try internships or be an apprentice in something. Above all, don't wallow in your failures. Those are learning experiences.

>>4991135 especially considering i'm planning on keeping my 40 hour night shift manual labour job.

There is no way you will be able to keep up with those hours. You will get to mid october and then you will crash.

Now I have a pretty good social life, my GPA is above a 3.0 so I'm in line for a pretty good transfer scholarship from a pretty decent private school here in the city, I'm seriously figuring out what I want to do with my life, I have a gf......

Rising sophomore currently with a 3.96 GPA at a tier 1.5 college.

Normally people would feel great about this but my problem is I don't actually remember anything in my class. I'm a master at test-taking just because I can study really well and then forget it in the next day. Feels pretty bad, and I don't really know what I want to do. Thinking math at the moment but I'm not really decided.

Any ideas or advice guys?
