Do they send along extra information with the sequencing? Cause not being a geneticist the bulk of the information wouldn't really mean much to me?

They don't sequence your entire DNA and I doubt they give you the actual sequence. 90% of your DNA is either not very interesting or interesting, but we don't know in what way yet.

They just sequence some common risk genes for the health part, some specific repetitions for the ancestry part.

If the genetic practitioner isn't bogus, they can give you a rough dethklock on your expiry date. A computer can read your genome and tell you if you have the genetic sequence of a number of diseases. Publicly not all genetic disease sequences have been categorically identified.
