I bet most of /sci/ can't solve this simple math equation.

No calculators allowed.

1^0 = 0

is that suppose to be 1 to the power 0? it looks like shit.

>> No.4976980

undefined

1° = pi/180

1

>> No.4976998

1 obviously, anything to the power of 0 is 1

>> No.4977003

1^1 = 1 x 1 = 1
by using this logic, we can tell that
1^0 = 1 x 0 = 0
the answer is 0 u morons

>> No.4977010

Anything to the zeroeth power is 1
X^(0) = X^(1-1) = (X^1)/X = 1

Look at that:
for any real number x: 1^x=exp(x*ln(1))=exp(x*0)=exp(0)=1. In particular, 1^0=1

Or: for any x>0: x^0=exp(0*ln(x))=exp(0)=1. In particular 1^0=1.
Two different points of view, two valid demonstrations, one result: 1^0=1. 0^0 is undefined, 1^0 is not.

And two notes to finish this thread:
>>4977003's post doesn't makes, there is no "logic" in applying rules you are not even conscious of to problems you don't understand.
>>4977010's demonstration is closer to a true demonstration, but remember it works only when x=/=0.

Doesn't makes what? Seems like you need to take a visit to /lit/
